AmeriCorps VISTA
Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) is the oldest national service program created for Americans in 1965 by President Kennedy. This program was designed specifically to target populations living at the poverty level in hopes to eventually eradicate it. VISTA's work together with nonprofit organizations or government agencies in order to build capacity of their sponsoring agency.
